Here’s To The Dash? I don’t get it.
The mother of one of my childhood friend’s passed away, after losing her battle with breast cancer. One thing I will always remember was her outlook on life. And it is that perspective that has inspired the title of this blog.
So why “Here’s To The Dash?”
On a person’s tombstone, there is the year of their birth and the year of their death. What’s between those years is the “dash” aka what you did in your life. Successes, accomplishments, challenges… all memories and all things you did while LIVING.
So this blog is dedicated to living life to the fullest, taking time to stop and appreciate the small and big things. Life’s a roller coaster, get onboard and enjoy the twists and turns it takes you on. Because while you may make plans for what your life will become, your life is happening RIGHT NOW.
Here’s To The Dash! All the moments between life and death.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Meredith. I’m a twenty-something, striving to always learn, grow and experience. Whether it’s goal-setting, a quarter life crisis or sharing inspirational things I find online (I have a personal and professional passion for the digital world), this journey is an adventure.
I know I’m not alone in trying to live life to the fullest while appreciating all it has to offer, so consider me a friend sharing my experiences.
By the way, the picture at the top of this blog… me jumping for joy in beautiful Ireland. It’s one of the truest forms of me simply living, taking it in and feeling exhilarated. Hoo-rah!
